Back to Buffalo with John. Snow and slush slow us down, but we still make it for the All-American pancake breakfast at Roosters. Strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream over a stack of pancakes make patriotism delicious.
Happy to see Gladys and her family. She is equally pleased to see her ‘friends from Canada’. Neither weather nor stairs between chapel and cafeteria keep her away.
Tony’s tribe is also here. Tony is recovering well from surgery. We catch up on events of the past year and share memories of school characters. Without benefit of a Facebook documentation, memory and face to face conversation keep the connections.
Taking the leisurely route home, we stop for a Red Hots snack and a later for a beef on weck at Schwabl’s.
