New google scholarly search

Tired of wandering through the search engine haystack? You may find the right needles at a new google service for academic researchers.

Contents focus on documents and books of a scholarly nature. There is an interesting feature showing the number of online documents citing any particular item found in a search.

This is still a beta system with an unknown number of documents searched.

Google expects to gain revenue by placing ads offering expensive services and products next to the search items.

The link below leads to the search results for the combination of phrases ‘health promotion’ and ‘social determinants’

http://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&lr=&q=%22health+promotion%22+and+%22social+determinants%22+&btnG=Search

Would anyone on this list who is starting a paper or presentation care to comment on the usefulness and limitations of this new google for their task?
