What’s left of our possessions is now in a new home. Reconnections went quite smoothly. Why I have a cable left over remains a puzzle. Boxes remain strategically stacked according to presumed priorities. Major search for the cell phone recharger. We already have two and did not want to buy a third.
The place feels more comfortable than we hoped. Plenty of space and pleasant view of the city skyline. Cooking with a convection oven is a novel experience. Great roasting and baking, but I set off the smoke alarm two out of three uses.
The old bell tower on the historic firehall next door almost reaches our living room window. Roosting pigeons converted it to an aviary that no one could enjoy until our building came along.
Thankfully Simon, Lisa and Verity came along during the first few days to establish a sense of home to the new place.
